22. A song that motivates you.

This is a strange choice -- a really strange choice. But I think like a musician, not a lyricist. The structure of this song is everything.

It starts quiet; the frustration is palpable. The frustration grows until that last verse slams into a wall of sound, then breaks into a jubilant repeat of the chorus.

I remember being unable to find this song on any local radio station. They played it -- mornings, usually -- on a little, independent station, two counties, 70 miles, and a million light years away.
