Joshua Rifkin's delicate, tip-toeing orchestration is all kid-on-Christmas-morning astonishment. It is nothing short of magical, and it makes you think someone like Michael might be, too.
All of which makes me want to say, find your own magic -- preferably with someone who isn't always flitting off to the drudgery he said he so desperately wanted to escape.
