Before They Moved On

Sometimes, you just wish a band wouldn’t move on.

The sad thing about wanting to get your message to perhaps billions of people is that you have to make it just general enough for billions of people.

Maybe I just hear this music through the ears of the past. Maybe the music these guys make today is every bit as good, just different.

I don’t know, but I miss the days of their specificity, their eye for detail, their stories. When you can include those things and make your lyrics work on multiple levels, as these lyrics do, you know you have something for the ages.
