Maybe you need to be a history buff to love this kind of thing but, for my money, this brand-new tune is so much fun I can’t hardly stand it.

It’s bluegrass banjo history, packed into just three minutes and 56 seconds – by a Finnish band, no less.
Banjoist Tauri Oksala is so outrageously skilled, such an expert on bluegrass banjo styles, that you’ll be able to identify the players whose style Oksala is demonstrating – even without Jussi Syren’s impassioned lyrics.

This is Jussi Syren and The Groundbreakers with “The Banjo Song”, and their love and respect for the pioneers of bluegrass is touching beyond words.
