When Wayne Lewis sings this, you can believe it. Glen Duncan’s chatty fiddle provides a kind of Greek chorus back-up; you can hear the whole town talking in his licks. And then, there’s Bill Monroe himself, with a bluesy but pitiless mandolin break that almost seems to side with Duncan against a man who wails defiantly, “I’ve Lived A Lot In My Time”.
